Thomas Barth was born in Vienna in 1965. He studied piano and composition in Austria, Denmark and the USA including master classes with Herbie Hancock at the Mozarteum/ Salzburg 1987 and with "Weather Report" founder Joe Zawinul at the "Wiener Meisterkurse", Vienna 1992. Studio/ Live collaborations including Beet4Feet, Stray Dog Music, Electric Diamond, Brand Nubian, Deodato and his own projects in Vienna and New York. 2007: Producer (CD) of Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Nabucco", recorded live at the open air- festival in St. Margarethen/ Austria.

CDs as a leader: (to be released) "Three Streams And A River" with Chris Minh Doky (bass) and Ian Froman (drums), rec. in Copenhagen.
2003: "Beyond Black & White" Solo Piano 2 CDs, rec. in Austria. 2001: "Seven Worlds", featuring Mike Stern, Craig Handy, Gerald Veasley, Mike Baker and Evan Tate, rec. in NYC. Other works (excerpts): Soundtrack and moving images for "Traces of Speed" in collaboration with Ad!dict and Nike for the Brussels Art Fair and "BETWEEN" with visual artist Bettina Schuelke with exhibits at the Ad!dictlab Gallery Bruxelles and the Design Center De Winkelhaak, Antwerpen at the festival "The True Nature of Design" (2003).
